In the EURA Jean Monnet Center of Excellence on the Regulation of Robotics & AI Workshop series, experts from the most diverse fields are invited to present their most advanced research, encouraging participants to discuss topics on the forefront of the debate on the regulation of robotics and AI.

The third EURA seminar will take place on Wednesday, February 5th, 2020, h. 13:45-15:15 at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Aula Magna Storica.

The invited speaker is Prof. Alessandro Mantelero, associate professor at private Law at the Polytechnic University of Turin and Council of Europe Scientific expert on Artificial Intelligence and Data Protection. Prof. Mantelero will present his paper «AI and Big Data: A Blueprint for a Human Rights, Social and Ethical Impact Assessment». The paper sets out a new perspective in an assessment model centered on human rights. This model intends to overcome the limitations of the existing assessment models.

The seminar format would be a 1 h slot, 30 mins Q&A/discussion with the audience.
