EURA Young Scholar Prize - The Call for Papers is out!

Publication Date:
03.10.2019

Through the EURA Young Scholars Prize, once every year PhD students and young researchers are invited to submit their papers on any of the subject areas covered by the Centre of Excellence. The best paper will be presented at a special session of the EURA annual Conference.

This year, the Conference will focus on Human Robot Interaction, and will discuss the legal, social, ethical and philosophical issues of Human-Robot interaction, focusing, in particular, on whether deceitful technologies – designed to give the appearance of being alive, conscious, capable of proving emotions and establishing bonds – are admissible or, to the contrary, whether some uses and applications ought to be prohibited, also in the light of the fundamental principles of human dignity and freedom of self-determination, as emerging from the European Charter of Fundamental Rights.

With the aim of fostering the active involvement of young scholars with the topic of the conference, we are pleased to invite the submission of papers from researchers under 35 years old, addressing some of the most important topics connected to the Conference main theme. Papers, which could be published or unpublished, shall be submitted by October the 10th to the evaluation Committee at eura@santannapisa.it .
